Deck the Halls by Helaine Becker (74)

This is a great rendition of a Canadian Christmas favorite.  I just love the Christmas carol!  And its easy to follow the words and the verses. But in this book, the lyrics are rethought but the message is the same.

This is a great story of Canada’s favourite porcupine. Becker write a hilarious story about Christmas Eve Party for this porcupine. Loons, beavers, moose, and more appear, decorating, wrapping gifts, and of course, eating holiday goodies, until well…the big surprise is revealed!

What a GREAT book, with GREAT tempo. It certainly got me into the festive mood.  And I am sure it will do the same to you.
