Yukon by Lyn Hancock (198)

The Yukon is a picturesque place because of its mountains, magnificent scenery, romantic history, friendly people, and the promise of freedom and adventure.

Its a little larger than the state of California. Its a pie-shaped wedge in the northwestern corner of Canada. The capital of Yukon is Whitehorse.

The Yukon River flows through the interior plateau. The mountains are nameless in the Yukon, despite how majestic they look.

The population is the second lowest in Canada with 30,776 people in 1996.

I love the rugged nature of the Yukon. But I may not visit it as it seems way too cold for me.

I loved this informative book.  I took some time to read some travel books this year. We really do live in the very best and majestic country in the world!

I am SO proud to be a Canadian.
