The Time has Come by Michael Kaufman (157)

When I saw this book on my new book shelf at my local library, I knew I had to read this book!  And I am SO glad that I did.

Gender equality is so hard to come by for women and for us as a culture. The missing component seems to be men joining forces to help with gender equality. This book promises to show the reader how to do this.

The public world of gender relations is exploding around us. The private world of relationships, families, and sex is a minefield of power and love. There has never been a moment quite like this in the male dominated world that we live in. It is exciting yet really perplexing at the same time. We are living it.

I find the idea that men want to be part of this revolution to be very exciting and compelling. It has been a long time coming. But this is definite progress. Women can’t really do this on their own. They struggle and fight, just to be turned flat down.

Gender equality is in our offices and factories and in the quest for equal pay. It is sexual harassment and the quest for women’s advancement this is really hard to achieve for women.

We have to also rethink how we raise girls and boys. The gender equality revolution is also a quest to love who we want and define what we want to be. It is a push for more women in politics and in the boardroom.

The gender equality revolution is coming on fast and strong. It is time for all of us to join forces to make it happen.

I loved this positive book!
