No Matter What Happens by Ione Grover (23)

This is a book about how to discover your own authentic, resilient faith.

For Grover, faith is a conviction. No matter what happens, she believes, we are not alone. Gosh, if we just all believed that.  Wouldn’t we live a very different life?

There is a loving source, a Mystery that is always with us, whether we are aware of it or not. it is comforting, empowering, guiding, sustaining and much, much more.  But we have to become aware enough to know it is there.

A faith is a strong foundation. It lets us anchor our lives and be resilient. This kind of faith can be a source of strength and courage during hard times which will hit us from time to time.

In this book, Ione explores the many aspects of faith through personal stories, mythical tales, and quotations from many inspiring spiritual teachers. Each chapter stands on its own, according to  particular theme.  It closes with questions that invite readers to reflect on their faith and life experiences. Throughout the book, Ione shares her own story and struggles, which led to her own strong and resilient faith.

I loved this book from start to finish. I encourage others to read this book who needs a foundation–one that the world cannot give. This foundation is one that will last for a very long time.
