The Complete Book of the Winter Olympics by David Wallechinsky and Jaime Loucky (120)

This book is often called the bible of the Olympics. It is a must-have reference for all sports enthusiasts and Olympic fans. Since we are in the midst of the Olympics at Pyeongchang Olympics I decided to pick up this wonderful book and have a read.

This newly updated eight edition includes results of the top eight finishers for all events in every Winter Olympics from the Chamonix Games of 1924 to the 2006 Turin Games. Records, rules and results for both newly added events and those discontinued decades ago are clearly documented, along with fascinating tidbits and behind-the-scenes stories about the Games’ most famous and notorious athletes and the Olympics’ most celebrated and unforgettable moments. This gold medal collection is sure to inform and entertain all readers.

I recommend the book for all Olympic lovers.  It has colored pages and photographs that will take one back to the events of the day. I just love the Olympics. They are so inspiring and they kind of encourage all of us to be the best version of who we are.
