Jasper John Dooley: Left Behind by Caroline Adderson (171)

Here is my review of the second book in the Jasper John Dooley series. This book is just as fun and interesting as the first one.

Jasper loves his Wednesday visits with Nan. She has an elevator to ride up and down in, lots of dress-up clothes, and when they play Go Fish for jujubes, Jasper always wins. But one day Nan has some surprising news. She is going on a cruise but she’s not taking Jasper with her.

That week at school, Jasper accidentally staples his tummy. Every time he thinks of Nan it feels like air is escaping from the hole. It take thirty-four Band-Aids to patch it up!

Even worse? A babysitter will be filling in for Nan on Wednesday. Jasper is sure she will be horrible.

But Jasper somehow manages not to deflate entirely before Nan gets home. He even has a surprise waiting for her.

What a great story! I loved it from beginning to end!
