Mooncop by Tom Gauld (127)

This will be my last book reviewed this year. In my next post, I will be looking back and forward to 2017 and all the wonderful books that I want to read. What a wonderful thing to look forward to!

This book is a unique graphic novel about living on the moon. We are in the midst of finding out a lot about the other planets such as the moon and mars. And this book will wet the reader’s appetite for more.

The lunar colony is slowly winding down like a small town circumvented by a new highway.

As our hero, the mooncop makes his daily rounds, his beat grows ever smaller, and the population starts to dwindle.

A young girl runs away, an old lady loses her dog, and an automaton wanders off from the Museum of the Moon.

This book is funny and melancholic, capturing the essential truths about humanity and making this a story of the past, present, and future all in one.

I loved this book.  It was refreshing and different, and a nice way to end the year.

Happy New Year all and see you all in the new year!
