Canadian Food and Traditions by Sheri Doyle (73)

This is a wonderful book in the Canadian Families Series for children of all ages. The book contains a lot of wonderful photographs of all the foods that have made us Canadians.

Who doesn’t like home-grown corn and produce.  One thing about the summers, especially in Ontario and the prairies is that we have a lot of produce that is grown right here at home. We never need to eat imported food from China and New Mexico.

One of the chapters in the book shows a map of all the farms in Ontario and Quebec.  We are really a rich agricultural country!

Another chapter discussed the food that we put on our tables for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The book shows people enjoying some of these foods.

I would recommend this book to all kids and parents who celebrate all Canadian foods!
