Canadian Celebrations by Todd Kortemeier (74)

Canadians come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Many parts of our lives are similar to those of our neighbours, but we might do other things very differently from each other too.

This book explores the different ways that people from diverse backgrounds live their day-to-day lives.

This is a book that will expand a child’s horizons as well as show them that regardless of what our nationality or background is, we can all say that we are Canadians by living here and enjoying everything that is truly Canadian.

This book is definitely relevant for our times when we have a lot of refugee families seeking new lives in our beautiful country.  They seem happy to be here and they are proud to share everything that is Canadian with us. And this is something to be truly grateful for!
