This is a super-cute picture book about the young Japanese Macaque. This is an endearing book in many ways that transport young children and older ones into the lives of this wonderful Japanese monkey.
In this story, we meet Tombo, a young macaque who lives with his mother, sister, and extended family near Japan’s Awaji Island Monkey Center.
Sarah Turner, the author, shows a deep respect for these monkeys. Her amazing photographs show these monkeys in their natural habitat. The story illuminates growing up, moving over, and finding their way in the world.
This book for kids can be used for school projects for the younger and older child. It is a book that is as colourful as it is insightful.
