Traveling Butterflies (61)

This is a very endearing book about the Canadian Monarch Butterfly. It is a beautifully illustrated book and it is written in a style will be very appealing to kids.

This book talks about how butterflies begin their lives as tiny eggs, no bigger than dewdrops. But shortly after that they emerge from their cocoons and they are ready to soar. Sadly, they don’t live more than a few weeks.

I love the Monarch butterfly. But now I know the story of the Monarch a lot better than I used to. And I am SO glad to have something as beautiful as the Monarch to grace our lives in Canada.

Thank you Susumu Shingu for such a GREAT picture book for kids!
