Scaredy Squirrel at Night (35)

This is another picture book by Melanie Watt!  I am going to be reviewing all of her Scaredy Squirrel series over the next few days. So, be prepared to be amazed and entertained!

What child isn’t scared at night!  And Scaredy Squirrel is no exception. He never sleeps. It is way too scary. He is afraid that he falls asleep he will have bad dreams about ghosts, dragons and polka-dot monsters!

So, he stays awake by keeping himself busy at night. Scaredy Squirrel counts stars, plays cymbals, and he took up scrapbooking.

But all of these sleepless nights are having a lot of negative consequences for Scaredy Squirrel. He is exhausted, and he cannot function. He can’t think clearly either.

But what is more, he believes that all his dreams are about to come true!  So, he may as well go to sleep? A squirrel wouldn’t want that to happen. So, he sets up a plan to try to solve the problem. But of course things don’t go according to plan….
