Wally Stutzgummer, Super Bade Dude
I have been enthralled in reading all of Martyn Godrey’s books over the past few months. John encouraged us to read Martyn Godfrey a few months for one of the Canadian Book Review Challenges. And I am reviewing the second from last book here on my blog before this year’s challenge is over.
In this book, Krazy Kurt is out to prove that he’s one of the best on a mountain bike. Like all boys his age, he challenges Wally a race. Well, would any male teenager say no? Not in this life time! So, he tries, and he is willing to stake quite a bit on winning. But would he go as far as putting his friendship with Carol on the line?
Once the book starts rolling, one bad thing follows another. It looks like even Wally’s relationship with Carol is over too–until a couple of comic book thieves give Wally a chance to prove that he has what it takes to be a real hero.
What a wonderful book! I read it over a two-hour period, and I will be suggesting that some of the teens that I know read the book.
