There are similar themes in this book that appeared in the other books that I read and reviewed. For instance, the generosity of Canadians is mentioned here as well as stories about winter and the holidays. But what is distinctly new in this book are some of the cultural stories and how we deal with inclement weather. We have been getting more tornadoes than ever before. Many of the extreme pressure changes and convection from the Midwest and the southern part of the united states are coming here. So, there is a section on how Canadians are coping and how some Canadians are chasing these storms to discover more about them.
I also loved the stories about summer holidays. I love cottage life here in Canada, and every summer we head out to a remote cottage in Tobermory to enjoy the weather and summer. It is breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. I was reminded to start thinking of my summer holidays and booking our cottage.
So, all in all, this book will give the reader a glimpse of how wonderful it is to be a Canadian.
