Norman Bethune (71)

Norman Bethune
By Adrienne Clarkson

This is a wonderfully informative book about Norman Bethune, one of the most famous Canadians in the world. He is a hero to a billion and a half of Chinese people in Canada. He has done so much good for society as a whole for the educational system too.

Norman Bethune was no ordinary man. He was a surgeon, medical inventor, tumultuous romantic, and advocate of the poor.

Adrienne Clarkson makes creates a wonderful portrayal of this great man who should be honored not only by the Chinese but also all Canadians. it seemed that every stage of his life set up for what followed. It was a life with purpose and overall divinity, in many ways. It is a life that is inspiring and difficult at the same time. Greatness only comes when we do difficult things. And Norman Bethune was not scared to do that.

Norman Bethune battled health issues himself when he contracted tuberculosis. He also treated all kinds of cases of tuberculosis in his patients. During that time, there was something absolutely astounding about that.

Thank you Adrienne Clarkson for enlightening this noble figure to the readers. He is a man who is worthy of taking note and remembering.
