Farmer Joe’s Hot Day (2)

Farmer Joe’s Hot Day
Written by: Nancy Wilcox Richards
Illustrated by: Werner Zimmermann

This is another hilarious easy reader for kids 5 and up about how difficult Farmer Joe’s day is on the farm as he is tilling the soil.

It is so hot. So, he comes into the house and keeps complaining to his wife. Instead of suggesting that Joe wear lighter clothes, she hilariously suggests that he puts more and more clothes. In fact, at the end, he is dressed in his winter wear, all fitted out with a hat and scarf.

The moral, is never complain, because things can get a lot worse.

This story will keep kids reading it over and over. It could make a great bedtime book.
