The Third Eye (92)

The Third Eye
Mahtab Narsimham

This is a unique novel about Indian mythology from a native of Mumbai.

The novel is unique in setting. It will take the reader to unexpected places. The scenes and plot are riveting and have an unusual brilliance. It is similar in structure to a murder mystery in some ways with a supernatural twinge.

Men in the village are disappearing and often returning in different forms…oh the horrors! But when a healer, Zarku, comes to town with a third eye and possessing strange powers, things get even more out of hand and stranger. Can people see through all his brilliant and evil disguises?

This book will stretch the minds of all readers, both the younger reader who this book is written for and the older reader as well. I love the Indian cultural background as I was reading this book.

This is Matab’s debut novel. She is a native of Mumbai and this book draws together all the unique cultural and spiritual energies of her homeland. What a cultural gem!
