Thin Moon Psalm by Sheri Benning (59)

Thin Moon Psalm

This is a book of deep grieving and remembrance. I felt transfixed by the emotional quality of the poems. Sheri recalls the details of iconic moments which one will never forget which were unspoken–moments between her father and daughter, mother and child, sister and sister, lover and lover and poet and friend. These poems represent the priceless moments in the daily lives of these individuals. These poems sure brought back memories to when I was a child and how my relationships with my parents were.

This book of poems is about loss and how one can move past through the pain and sorrow to a place of peace and happiness. These poems can also help to take the burden off some of the losses that we have faced over our lifetimes. Sheri’s message in these poems is that there is hope at the end of our losses. What a GREAT message for all of us!
