Over the Roofs of the World by Olive Senior (58)

This is another GREAT poetry book by a Canadian poet. She uses nature as a model and metaphor for her poems. And they are rich in detail and will show the reader a space that is beyond this one that he inhabits.

Olive delves into birds, flying, and Caribbean life in this book of poems. The nature scenes that the reader count portrays in his/her mind’s eye will bring much pleasure and even grandeur to the reader.

Olive Senior was born in Jamaica. Her books have been translated into many different languages. Senior enjoys international acclaim through her books, and it isn’t hard to see why when the reader sits down to read her poems.

Thank you Olive for such a GREAT book of Poems!
