A Board Book for Toddlers by Robert Munsch (47)

Mortimer
Written By: Robert Munsch
Illustrated by: Michael Martchenko

This is a hilarious picture book for toddlers about a little boy, Mortimer, who has a difficult time going to sleep. So, he decides to sing before he falls asleep. Everyone tells him to be quiet, but he doesn’t stop singing. And his singing gets louder and louder, until things get completely out of hand….or so it seems. Does Mortimer finally give up?

This story will be appreciated by most children 2 to 5 and perhaps younger. Most kids don’t want to go to bed when their Mom and Dad tells them to. They want to goof around and do anything and everything else but what they should be doing.

I loved the book from beginning to end, and so did the kids who I read the book at my local library.

This book is written by a Canadian children’s book author. What a gifted writer he is! It is always such a joy to read his books.
