Another Picture Book Review by Robert Munsch (43)

Give me Back My Dad!
By: Robert Munsch
Illustrated by: Michael Martchenko

This is a hilarious picture book about a Dad who disappears under water while ice fishing. First Cheryl was pulled under the water. Then her Dad was pulled under water. Does the story end happily? Munsch’s books are always very upbeat. So, I’m pretty sure the story does…but you will have to read it yourself.

There are important educational lessons in this book. First, one must exercise caution when ice fishing. Second, Munsch shows the importance of developing a close bond between father and daughter. This is so wonderful to see.

The illustrations are also very colorful and wonderful! What a GREAT book for kids!
