Franklin’s Christmas Gift (38)

What if we taught our kids the pleasure of giving to the less fortunate instead of only receiving gifts ourselves at Christmas? This book will show children how good it could feel to give to the less fortunate among us.

The story is about Franklin. Franklin is usually generous and he always gives a gift for the Christmas toy drive each year at his school. But this ear, he can’t decide which toy to part with. Can he part with one of his favorite toy’s to help someone in need?

Franklin discovers how good it feels all over to give presents to the needy over Christmas. So many people don’t have as much as he has. And there is as much, if not more pleasure in giving a gift than in receiving. And that is a wonderful message for kids to learn from the earliest age during the Christmas season.

This is a great picture book for kids written by a Canadian picture book author and published by Kids Can Press, Toronto, Canada. The message of this book is that it is better to give than to receive. All we have to do is to change our faulty mindset that was set by the media from the pleasure of giving instead of receiving.
