Seventeenth Book Review for the Canadian Challenge

This is a cute picture book about a Doggie in a pet shop in Montreal who is wishing someone would rescue him and take him home. He feels confined and unloved. He wants companionship and love so badly. He wants to roam around wider spaces. He wants different food. He wants different smells. He wants out of the pet cage.

Suddenly, Mademoiselle Madeleine (a seamstress) runs around the corner. The Doggie loves her flare and immediately starts wishing that she takes him home. Will she take the Doggie home and rescue it from misery?

What a great story for kids about animal adoption and having forever friends in our pets. This book will charm and warm the hearts of many young readers.
