Book Review for the Canadian Book Review Challenge

The Very Fine Frog
By: Tim Beiser
Illustrated by: Rachel Berman

This is a hilariously cute and funny picture book about a frog who lived in a bog. When his food ran out, he visited various places in his neighbourhood looking for food. But none could be found because every creature he met ate food that was different from his own.

So, he returned back to his bog, where he belonged. He was ravenously hungry only to find all kinds of food to eat right at home. Maybe he should have just patiently waited at home.

The illustrations are viewed and cute. They help to bring the story to life for young readers. Readers of all ages will enjoy this story and will laugh out loud as they turn the pages. It is written in a witty rhyme like no other picture book I have read for a long time.

Rating: 4 stars
