Shania Twain: From This Moment On
Shania Twain

When we think of a singer and songwriter, we may sometimes think that the person comes from riches and has a wonderful and supportive background in order for her to thrive. Well, Shania Twain’s life was anything but. However, regardless, she has not only strived to be the best that she can be, but has excelled.

This book is a moving compilation of all of Shania Twain’s pain, hardship, suffering, and abuse that she witnessed. One may think that she would be hardened in all of us. But instead, she is a loving and wonderful person who produces the most spellbinding songs, which she sings in a way that transforms one into another realm of reality, one that is truly enriching and inspiring.

Shania Twain is a music legend and mother. Recently, she has been in the spotlight because of her painful, public divorce and subsequent marriage to one of her most cherished friends. Shania was one of five children born into poverty in Timmins. Her family often didn’t have enough food and they lived in squalor a lot of their life. As a teenage girl, she helped her mother escape an abusive relationship with her father and they fled to a battered shelter to put an end to the domestic violence that her mother experienced. Then when she thought nothing worse could happen, it did. When she was twenty-two years old, her parents were both killed in a car accident and she was forced to take care of her siblings.

There is so much more to Shania Twain’s autobiography. But I don’t want to give it all away. However, I would encourage everyone to read Shania’s book for inspiration and motivation to become their best against all odds. The underlying message of the book is that everyone can do whatever they set their mind and heart to do. They just have to have the guts and courage to keep pursuing their dreams and to keep dreaming. Without dreams, there is no living.
